The Team
Ilana Den

Ilana is right into social media!! She has done more courses than Phar Lap and is tweeting and facebooking to her heart's content. I am also addicted to Facebook Scrabble (yes, I am a true nerd!) - for any Scrabblers that would like a game, please become my friend on Facebook (under Ilana Den as opposed to the Conference Call page) and invite me to a game of scrabble. I prefer 24 hour games....looking forward to playing! Ilana befriends all clients. She is the one still having coffee with the ex client from twenty years ago! Ilana founded Conference Call in 1996, after a very established background in corporate travel with Jetset Travel and vast experience in hotels having worked for Hilton International, Sheraton and All Seasons. With a degree in tertiary language teaching, Ilana's eye for detail and meticulous work - along with a great sense of humour - radiates through the office. |
David Dymmott

David is in Thailand where it is hot and humid. Chiang Mai in the north is beautiful, new hotels, great restaurants, cooler than the city and very friendly people. Bangkok is fast and busy and the tradeshow IT&CMA kicked off with a "Feast of Thailand" function and two days of business sessions. From Bangkok to Phuket and then I can answer ANY question about Thailand. David has worked in various fields in the travel industry for over 12 years, including wholesale, airline, inbound and corporate events. He has successfully co-ordinated and been part of managements teams on conferences and incentive programs in both Australia and overseas with numbers up to 1200 people. Prior to becoming a director and co-owner of Conference Call, David was General Manager at Axis Events and prior to that was General Manager at Unique Journeys (subsequently merged with G.E.T). His extensive network and excellent relationship with suppliers adds immense value to Conference Call's clients. Complete with a smile from 9am-5pm, you'll be hard pressed to find David ever looking stressed.

Greg Severin

Greg had a great trip back in Sydney recently. Greg is the face of Conference Call and has been finding venues for clients since day dot! He knows everyone and every hotel. He is the first person to check out the newest venue in town - because of course he has an invitation to the opening party! Greg knows all about venues in 'venueland' (a word created by Greg) and all the venues know Greg. Being in the industry for over 16 years, with previous stints at the Observatory Hotel Sydney, All seasons Hotels (now part of Accor) and Best Western Hotels he has had a great portfolio of experience and is the very best person to recommend venues - he is also the very best to have a drink with on a Friday night! |
Sally Goodchild

Sally has just returned from the flesh pots of Buenos Aires after a whirlwind tour to check out the latest tango moves. She has discovered that despite much head tossing and hip swiveling, she still can't tango, so turned her hand to shopping instead (where she is much more experienced!!). Sally has worked in the conference and incentive industry for 25 years and so has an in-depth appreciation of how it all works and what will appeal to the clients. Having come originally from airlines, she also understands the "ins and outs" of group travel and has handled groups all over the world as well as around Australia. Not one to hang back on a Friday night, she usually fronts up at the bar along with Ilana, David and Greg! |
Melissa Wright

Melissa is pleased to say she is now 20 weeks pregnant, feeling good and is happily booking a holiday to Fiji - great chance to check out those venues she hasn't seen in years and the new ones! Melissa has a great track record of working and leaving, working and leaving! Starting out as a young graduate, and now enjoying part-time work with Motherhood, Melissa has over 8 years of experience at Conference Call with a wealth of project management and venue finding experience in her stride. Educated with a Bachelor of Arts in Leisure Management from UTS and Diploma in Tourism along with her experience in corporate training in Sydney and the University of London, Melissa has an array of skills to execute an excellent event. Excellent Customer Service, Diligence and Organisational Skills are paramount in a day's work for Melissa. |
